ಕೋರ್ಟೊಂದು ಜಾಮೀನು ರಹಿತ ಪ್ರಕರಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಜೈಲಿಗೆ ದಬ್ಬಿದಾಗ, ತಾನೇ ಹಠಮಾಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಕೈಗೆ ಕೋಳ ಹಾಕಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಫೋಟೋಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬರುವಂತೆ ನೋಡಿಕೊಂಡ ಬಿವಿಸೀ, ಕರಾವಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಾನು ಪತ್ರಿಕೋದ್ಯಮದ ಹೆಸರಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಸುವ ಬ್ಲ್ಯಾಕ್ಮೇಲ್ ಉದ್ದಿಮೆ ದೂರದ ದೆಹಲಿಯವರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯದು, ದೆಹಲಿಯವರು ದಡ್ಡರು – ತಾನೇ ಶಾಣನೆಂದು ಬೀಗಿದ್ದೇ ಈಗ ಮುಳುವಾಗಿದೆ. ಈಗಿನ ಇಂಟರ್ನೆಟ್ಟು, ಈಮೇಲ್ ಪ್ರಪಂಚದಲ್ಲಿ “ಕರಾವಳಿ ಅಲೆ” ಮತ್ತು ಬಿ.ವಿ.ಸೀತಾರಾಂ ಪೀತ ಪತ್ರಿಕೋದ್ಯಮ ದೇಶದಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಫೇಮಸ್ ಆಗಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಅದಕ್ಕೇ ರಾಜದೀಪ್ ಸರದೇಸಾಯಿ ಬಿವಿಸೀಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದು “ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಗಿಲ್ಡ್ ಸದಸ್ಯತ್ವದಿಂದಲೇ ವಜಾ ಮಾಡೆಬೇಕಾಗುತ್ತದೆ”ಯೆಂದು!

ಅಷ್ಟೇ ಅಲ್ಲ, ಮಂಗಳೂರಿಗೆ ಬಂದ ಮೇಲೆ ತಾನು ರಾಜದೀಪ್ ಸರದೇಸಾಯಿ ಭೇಟಿ ಮಾಡಿ ತನಗಾದ ಅನ್ಯಾಯ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ಅವರು ನನ್ನ ಪರ್ಸನಲ್ ಫ್ರ‍ೆಂಡ್ ಎಂದು ಕೊಚ್ಚಿಕೊಂಡ ಬಿವಿಸೀಗೆ, ರಾಜದೀಪ್ ಸರದೇಸಾಯಿ ಪುನ: ಫೋನ್ ಮಾಡಿ ತನ್ನ ಹೆಸರು ದುರುಯೋಗ ಮಾಡದಂತೆ ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಅಂತೂ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದೆಲ್ಲೆಡೆ “ಬ್ಲ್ಯಾಕ್ಮೇಲ್ ಪೀತ ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತ”ನೆಂದು ಫೇಮಸ್ ಆಗಿದ್ದ ಬಿ.ವಿ.ಸೀತಾರಾಮ್, ಈಗ ತಾನೇ ತೋಡಿದ ಹೊಂಡಕ್ಕೆ ಬಿದ್ದು ದೆಹಲಿ/ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರ ಮಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಖ್ಯಾತ! ಬಿವಿಸೀಯಿಂದ ಬರುವ ಫ್ಯಾಕ್ಸುಗಳು, ಇಮೇಲುಗಳು ಸೀದಾ ಕಸದ ಬುಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುವ ಪರಿಸ್ಠಿತಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಒಂದು ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ “ಕರಾವಳಿಯ ಪ್ರತಿಪಕ್ಷ”ನೆಂದು ಪೋಸು ಕೊಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಬಿ.ವಿ.ಸೀಗೆ ಈಗ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಟಿಕೆಟ್ ಪಡೆಯಲು ದೆಹಲಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಇದ್ದ ಬದ್ದವರ ಕಾಲಿಗೆ ಬಿದ್ದು ಕಾಲರ್ ಹಿಡಿದು ಹೊರದೂಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಪರಿಸ್ಠಿತಿ ಬಂದದ್ದು ನೋಡಿ ಕನಿಕರ ಪಡಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ.

Karavali Ale B.V.Seetharam tries to misuse Rajdeep Sardesai’s name;gets a warning from Rajdeep Desai

Rajdeep Sardesai deserves kudos for stopping misuse of his name by blackmail journalist B.V.Seetharam

Coastal Karnataka’s blackmail journalist B.V.Seetaram (already arrested multiple times for harming communal harmony and ignoring court warrant/summons) was in Delhi begging for Congress ticket.

B.V.Seetharam visited Editors Guild of India President Rajdeep Sardesai’s residence unannounced on a weekend asking for help with Congress ticket. Furious Rajdeep Sardesai is said to have kicked B.V.Seetharam out of his house with a warning that he will be banished from Editors Guild of India membership.

Inspite of this humiliating experience,  after returning to Mangalore B.V.Seetharam boasted in his Editorial Columns that he met Rajdeep Sardesai and that Sardesai is his close friend. It is well known in Karnataka that B.V.Seetharam tries to misuse name of institutions such as Press Council of India (where he is listed as defaulter for not paying fees), Editors Guild of India to bring credibility to his blackmail journalism industry and also get Government advertisements.

B.V.Seetharam perhaps thought his false boasts and namedropping won’t reach faraway Delhi. Unfortunately for him, in this era of Internet news travels fast. B.V.Seetharam is already notorious in Delhi for his blackmail journalism and when Sardesai came to know about B.V.See misusing his name he again called B.V.See on phone and said to have severely admonished him again.

Knowing B.V.Seetharam’s past history and state of mind, he probably considers this bashing from Rajdeep as a badge of honour!

Even other journalists including Karnataka’s most popular journalist Ravi Belagere  dissociate themselves from B.V.Seetharam’s style of blackmail journalism.

And in an unprecedented protest in Mangalore, thousands including women and children came out openly to protest blackmail tactics of B.V.Seetharam recently.

But without any shame B.V.Seetharam and Karavali use the fact that they are member of Press Council of India to boast how this rag is a “genuine” newspaper and get advertisements from government institutions to subsidize their blackmail journalism.

For years this blog has exposed B.V.Seetharam and his blackmail journalism to whole world with documentation. Mangalore and Coastal Karantaka are not new to protests. But this protest was different – in an unprecedented protest, people were protesting against a “newspaper” Karavali Ale and its “Editor-in-Chief” B.V.Seetharam.

Perhaps for the first time in the history of Coastal Karnataka  and Mangalore, several hundred people including many women and children came out in street to protest blackmail journalist B.V.Seetharam and his newspaper “Karavali Ale”.

While few long distance patriots sitting out in places like Houston and some in media are trying hard to protect (like D.P.Satish of CNN-IBN who falsely attirbuted reason of arrest to RSS) their fellow media man B.V.Seetharam without knowing facts of the case, it is clear that public in Coastal Karnataka have had enough with B.V.Seetharam’s style of blackmail journalism.

People protesting against Karavali Ale first conducted a silence march and then shouted slogans against blackmail tactics of B.V.Seetharam and “Karavali Ale”.

“KARAVALI ALE” and B.V.Seetharam’s blackmail victims include people of all religions

One has to note that people cutting across religious lines have been victims of Karavali Ale and B.V.Seetharam – so this is a truly secular public outrage in a region sharply divided along communal lines.

• In November 2004, “Karavali Ale” published a false report about a church and its activities in Kodikal because of which a mob attacked the church. Christian community
• In October 2006, “Karavali Ale” published a report about death of a teacher Shashidhar Bhat in communal riots while Bhat was alive and well – however damage was done and after reading “Karavali Ale”, Hindu mobs attacked Muslims resulting in escalation of communal riots.

Even a magazine like “FRONTLINE” acknowledges this in article about B.V.Seetharam in its latest issue.

Karavali Ale was targeted by the public because it had been publishing articles against prominent Hindu religious leaders as well as Christians and Muslims for the past four to five years. He termed the attacks against the distribution network of the newspaper a ‘‘public revolt’’.

“The circulation of the newspaper fell by more than 50 per cent in December. If Seetaram’s allegations are correct, why haven’t any of the other local newspaper establishments stood by him?”

This is not the first time that the newspaper has ruffled feathers. In several of its reports, there is only a thin line between evidence-based journalistic critique and rhetoric that can be interpreted as being defamatory. Its style is a no-holds-barred kind, and it does not hesitate to make personal attacks.

Rights of common people somehow is less important than a blackmailer like B.V.Seetharam who blatantly ignored court summons like a two bit common criminal? and was arrested on a non-bailable warrant issued by a court?

Is suffering Bhojaraja Shetty and family is going through because of reckless blackmail journalism by B.V.Seetharam and Karavali Ale is somehow less important? * ಆದರೆ ಬಿ.ವಿ.ಸೀತಾರಾಂ ಇಂಥ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕರಾರುವಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ವರ್ಷಕ್ಕೊಮ್ಮೆ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಜೈಲಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಅವರಿಗೆ ಕೋಳ ಹಾಕಿದಾಗಲೆಲ್ಲ ನಾವು ಖಂಡಿಸಲು ಹೊರಟುಬಿಟ್ಟರೆ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊನೆಯೆಲ್ಲಿ, ಅರ್ಥವೆಲ್ಲಿ? ಒಮ್ಮೆ ಸೀತಾರಾಂ ಅವರ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಯಾರಾದರೂ ಬಿಡಿಸಿ ನೋಡಲಿ. ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಅತಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಬೈಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವರು ಇತರೆ ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತರೇ ಆಗಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಸೀತಾರಾಂ ಅವರ ‘ಕರಾವಳಿ ಅಲೆ’ ಮತ್ತು ‘ಜಯಕಿರಣ’ ಎಂಬ ಎರಡು ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಗಳ ಕದನವನ್ನು ಕರಾವಳಿಯ ಜನ ಎಷ್ಟೂಂತ ಓದುತ್ತಾರೆ? ಎಷ್ಟು ದಿನ ಅಂತ ಓದುತ್ತಾರೆ?

D.P.Satish of CNN-IBN has threatened Udupi Press Victim for exposing factual errors in his report on this blog.

D.P.Satish writes:

Nobody has given you the rights to tarnish the image of an honest and professional journalist in the name of exposing blacksheeps (sic) in the media. Now, either you prove all charges against me or tender an apology.If you don’t publish my reply and remove post about my role, me and my channel CNNIBN will be forced to initiate criminal proceedings against you and your blog site. Our company (A Time Warner venture) is well within its rights to file cases against you in a Delhi court and a court in the USA under IPC, CrPC and Cyber laws of both India and America.

You asked for proof and here you have it.

Ok let us take this one step at a time.

D.P.Satish may disown the headline, but a reporter’s name is right below the headline how can one claim innocence?

D.P.Satish may say he is telecasting what B.V.Seetharam told – but isn’t it the duty of journalist to provide both side of the story or at least make it clear in the heading that story subject said so?

There are two factual errors staring at anyone who has followed arrest of blackmail “journalist” B.V.Seetharam.

• D.P.Satish’s headline says “Editor” - B.V.Seetharam is neither Editor or Reporter for “Karavali Ale” by his own admission. He has submitted affidavit to this effect in the court (different matter BVSee is doing that to send some bakra Editor to jail in blackmail / defamation cases)
• D.P.Satish’s headline indicates BVSee was arrested for writing against RSS – this is false. BVSee was arrested per a non-bailable warrant issued by Hon’ble Judge in a District Court.  Also it is not clear at all that BVSee said so as D.P.Satish claims.  If that was the case headline would have been in the lines of “Journalist claims he was arrested for writing against RSS”.

These are the facts.

D.P.Satish never bothered to check other side of the story where an innocent person Bhojaraja Shetty was painted as a rapist in B.V.Seetharam’s newspapers just because Mr.Shetty refused to bow down to BV Seetharam’s demand for 1 Lakh Rupees.

So to conclude, we stand by our earlier post exposing D.P.Satish’s unethical, if not lazy reporting.

• Telecast other side of the story – where an innocent poor teacher was portrayed as a rapist by B.V.Seetharam in his newspapers just because Mr.Bhojaraja Shetty refused to bow down to 1 Lakh Rupees demand by B.V.Seetharam.

For those who can’t read Kannada here are the excerpts from Press Conference in which B.V.Seetharam’s victim Mr.Bhojaraja Shetty explained mental agony he had to go through because of B.V.Seetaram’s blackmail journalism. News from “Hosadiganta” – an upright daily newspaper from Mangalore.

UDUPI: “Witout any proof or basis, B.V.Seetaram of Karavali Ale newspaper portrayed me as a rapist. Please do not support such blackmail journalist who has ruined our life. Why aren’t you protesting such acts of B.V.Seetharam” asked Bhojaraja Shetty of Shankarapura (Udupi District).

In a press conference Shetty asked if there is no value for common man when a blackmail journalist like B.V.Seetharam can portray anyone as a rapist. “For two years B.V.Seetharam has mentally tortured me by blackmailing for 1 Lakh Rupees. I had not done any wrong neither did I have any money to pay. So when I didn’t pay B.V.Seetharam, he portrayed me as a rapist in his newspapers. I have full belief that court will provide me justice, but I am horrified that blackmail journalist like B.V.Seetharam is getting support in some sections of the society” he said.

Shetty also said “B.V.Seetharam ignored repeated summons on this case thus causing contempt of court. I had filed a case in July 31, 2007 and court had issued summons twice on July 7, 2008 and August 11, 2008. Still he did not respond and through Mangalore SP another warrant was issued on Nov 2, 2008. For defaming me, I need justice”.

Bhojaraja Shetty’s wife Shakuntala Shetty and lawyer Girish Aithal were present in the press conference.

Not surprisingly this Press Conference went unreported in most of the media.

B.V.Seetharam who runs a sprawling blackmail journalism empire in Coastal Karnataka is behind bars, again. This time on a non-bailable warrant issued by Hon’be Court on a defamation case.

Jail time is not new for B.V.Seetaram who has been earlier accused of fostering riots between Hindus, Muslims and Christians in Coastal Karnataka by publishing unsubstantiated rumours as news. He was arrested last year for inciting hate against Jains. Seetaram’s emphire built on blackmailing innocents with threat of publishing false news. Karavali Ale reporters are known all over Coastal Karnataka for their blackmailing tactics.

Some facts on the most recent case and relevant time line:

DEC 2007 - B.V.Seetaram calls Bhoja Shetty of Shirva, Udupi threatening to publish an article alleging rape by Bhoja Shetty. Bhoja Shetty refuses to give any money to B.V.Seetharam

Dec 17, 2007 – Karavali Ale publishes a story alleging Bhojaraj Shetty committed rape and is hiding in Shabarimale (Kerala)

Early 2008 – Bhojaraja Shetty goes to court alleging harassment and defamation by the above report. Court considers the case after evaluating the false report and issues summons to B.V.Seetaram. No response from B.V.Seetaram to repeated summons by the court.

Dec 12, 2008 – Court issues non bailable warrant against B.V.Seetaram. Seetaram ignores it again.

Jan 4, 2009 – B.V.Seetaram arrested in Udupi District per court order.

These are the facts and police are only implementing court order.

B.V.SEETHARAM IS A REPEAT OFFENDER

Sleazy journalist B V Seetharam is a habitual offender - with such an impressive arrest history is it surprising police handcuffed him?

B.V.Seetaram is a repeat offender who has made multiple trips to jails and faces dozens of court cases across Karnataka State due to blackmail journalism he practices. Just Google B.V.Seetaram Karavali Ale Blackmail and you can see his exploits. (Click here on his earlier arrest where even Karnataka State High Court rejected his bail application) Everyone know repeat offenders are handcuffed – so why special treatment to repeat offender like B.V.Seetaram? Why are some in media protesting this? Is Media above rule of law in Karnataka?

B.V.SEETARAM planned escape from Udupi Court and Hospital premises?

One of the rumours floating around Udupi is B.V.Seetaram had planned for an elaborate drama by asking his underworld buddies to “kidnap” or “attack” him while in Udupi Court and Hospital premises. In above photos one can see some of the notorious rowdy sheeters behind Seetaram. Did Udupi Police get hint of his plan and handcuff him? This seems plausible since B.V.Seetaram is known for his drama – like torching his own office to get insurance money, planning attack on his own printing press and distributors to get sympathy in the name of “freedom of press”.

Contempt of court by those protesting B.V.Seetaram’s Arrest? Why no one is shedding any tears for B.V.Seetaram in Coastal Karnataka

Without knowing facts journalists protest arrest of B.V.Seetaram. Are they aware that court ordered the arrest and protesting against arrest is equivalent to protesting against court? Also seen in the photo is Gowri Lankesh - a known Naxal Leftist Terrorist Supporter in Bangalore.

Since police are only implementing court order, it is not clear why some journalists are protesting against B.V.Seetaram’s arrest.

Note that no genuine media personalities in Coastal Karnataka are shedding any tears for B.V.Seetaram as everyone here is well aware of his blackmail tactics. Only those like Gowri Lankesh (a naxal supporter), K.B.Ganapathy of Star of Mysore are protesting without knowing above facts.

Isn’t this contempt of court? Is the law different for journalists? Or are journalists above the law? Hon’ble Courts should take suo moto notice of these protests and issue notices to protesting journalists.

ನ್ಯಾಯಾಧೀಶರು ತಮ್ಮ ಆದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಫೊಟೋ ನಕಲಿಯೆಂಬ ಸಂಶಯ ವ್ಯಕ್ತ ಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರಲ್ಲದೆ ಕಂಪ್ಯೂಟರ್ ಗ್ರಾಫಿಕ್ಸ್ ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸಿ ಚಿತ್ರವನ್ನು ಸಂಯೋಜನೆ ಮಾಡಿರುವ ಸಾಧ್ಯತೆಯಿದೆಯೆಂದೂ ಶಂಕಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ!

ಇಶ್ಟ್ಟೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅನಾಹುತಗಳಿಗೆ ಕಾರಣರನಾದ, ಫೊಟೋಕ್ಕಾಗಿ “ಕನ್ನಡಪ್ರಭ”ದಿಂದ ಎರಡು ಲಕ್ಷ ರೂಪಾಯಿ ವಸೂಲಿ ಮಾಡಿದ ಉಡುಪಿಯ ಬೆತ್ತಲೆ  ಫೊಟೋಗ್ರಾಫರ್ ಉಮೇಶ್ ಮಾರ್ಪಳ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತು “ಕನ್ನಡಪ್ರಭ”ದ ಉಡುಪಿ ವರದಿಗಾರ, ನಕ್ಸಲ್ ಹಿತಚಿಂತಕ ಸುಭಾಸ್ ಚಂದ್ರ ವಾಗ್ಳೆ ಇದೀಗ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಯಲದಿಂದ ಉಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರೂ ನಾಚಿಕೆಯಿಲ್ಲದೆ ತಮಗೇನೂ ಆಗಿಲ್ಲವೆಂಬಂತೆ ಓಡಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವುದು ಸೋಜಿಗದ ಸಂಗತಿ.

೨೦೦೫ರಲ್ಲಿ ದಿನಗಟ್ಟಳೆ ಈ ಪ್ರಕರಣವನ್ನು ಮುಖಪುಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಸಾಲೆ ಹಾಕಿ ಹಿಂಡಿ ಹಾಕಿ ಕೋಮು ಗಲಭೆಗೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ circulation ಹೆಚ್ಹಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ “ಕನ್ನಡಪ್ರಭ”ವಂತೂ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಧೀಶರ ಆದೇಶವನ್ನು ಯಾವುದೋ ಒಳಪುಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಣ್ಣದಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಿದೆ.

ಉಡುಪಿಯಂತಹ ಸುಸಂಕೃತ ಸಮುದಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ಮಸಿ ಬಳೆದ ಈ ಪ್ರಕರಣ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳ ಸ್ಪಶ್ಟಿಯೇ ಅಥವಾ “ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಪೋರಂ ಫಾರ್ ಡಿಗ್ನಿಟಿ”/”ಜನಪರ ವೇದಿಕೆ”/”ಕೋಮು ಸೌಹಾರ್ದ ವೇದಿಕೆ” ಯಂತಹ ದೇಶ ವಿರೋಧಿ ಸಂಘಟನೆಗಳ ಸಮಾಜಕ್ಕೆ ಬೆಂಕಿ ಹಚ್ಹುವ ಕೆಲಸವೇ ಎಂಬುದರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ತನಿಖೆ ನಡೆಯಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ.

Earlier we reported on this blog how journalists of Udupi are being misused by various foreign funded anti development activist groups.

Yet another incident has come to light – hilarious incident but shows the precarious nature of journalism in Udupi and calibre / intelligence of the journalists in this district.

In a nutshell:

As usual foreign fund rich protest group led by NRI Balakrishna Shetty from Dubai (with vested interest in various export business – hence the push for “Gas based Power plant is ok” theme of this group) called a press conference in Udupi to talk about their “protest” against Nagarjuna Thermal Plant in Nandikuru, Udupi District.

So called “scientist”Mr.Vijaya Kumar Hegdeof anti-Nagarjuna group – same Vijay Kumar Hegde who even now claims there is no power shortage in Karnataka – asked people of district to boycott famous Kadri Kambala – because LANCO President Madhusudhan Rao is attending the event (LANCO being mother-ship of Nagarjuna Power Company)  Journalists duly noted that down without any cross checks and the same was published across newspapers.

A simple Google search for LANCO would have shown the name of LANCO’s President -  Lagadapathi Madhusudhan Rao- not to mention LANCO being a publicly traded company in Stock Exchange. Or journalists could have called organisers of Kadri Kambala to find out if indeed LANCO has sponsored Kadri Kambala this year!

It turned out Mr.Madhusoodhan Rao in question is Managing Director of CAMPCOand Kadri Kambala is no way connected or sponsored by LANCO!

See below a “sorry-we-were-wrong-but-it-is-not-our-fault” report from Udayavani (screenshot from Udayavani online) on the same issue. At least Udayavani had the decency while all other newspapers remained silent.

Predictably organisers of Kadri Kambala and public in general flooded newspaper offices about this goof up. And as usual newspapers without admitting their embarrassing gaffe washed their hands off the incident by blaming it all on Mr.Vijaya Kumar Shetty – who in turn wriggled out by issuing a lame excuse.

While some can say this is a minor goofup, bigger question is - how can we trust what is published in newspapers when these journalists can’t even get basic facts right – like name of President/CEO of well known companies?

Moreover it is a mystery why they continue to support and publish baseless statements from idiots like Vijay Kumar Hegde who claims to be a scientist but has become a laughing stock for his baseless and hilarious statements about the project?

For a change why can’t Udupi journalists investigate the background of anti-development protesters? For starters they can check who is funding these groups and why some long distance NRI patriot like Balakrishna Shetty of Dubai is so keen on opposing Thermal plant while silently pushing for Gas based power plant?

It is a pity to see journalists – supposed to be well informed and well connected – being taken for a ride by vested groups and become laughing stock!

According to reports, newspaper bundles of “Karavali Ale” – a well known rumour mongering, blackmailing eveninger in Coastal Karnataka – were burnt by people who are sick and tired of its Editor/Owner B.V.Seetharam and his gang of unethical, corrupt, blackmail journalists.

ಬಿ.ಸಿ.ರೋಡ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಕರಾವಳಿ ಅಲೆಗೆ ಅದರ ಸ್ಥಾನ – ಚರಂಡಿ – ತೋರಿಸಿದ ಉದ್ರಿಕ್ತ ಜನರು!

Karavali Ale which has ignited communal riots and whose Editor-in-Chief, B.V.Seetharam was arrested few months back for inciting hatred against minority community is also known for publicity stunts like damaging his own printing press to gain publicity and sympathy (and of course cheat insurance companies and banks!)

Don’t be surprised the usual shameless suspects like Press Clubs, Komu Souharda Vedike, Janapara Vedike take a protest march against this.
