EXCLUSIVE:FAKE JOURNALIST AND ACTIVIST SRIRAMA DIWANA COLLECTS 5,000 RUPEES PER HOUSEHOLD IN THE NAME OF OPPOSING UDUPI-MANIPAL ROAD WIDENING PROJECT

Srirama Diwana and Nagarika Samithi taking people for a ride by collecting 5,000 rupees per household!

Anyone who has gone through daily horrors of traffic jam in the narrow stretch of Bannanje – Kalsanka – Kadiyali – Manipal will agree it requires widening. Finally when government made a move to widen it, the usual gang of “rental activists” led by Nagarika Samithi and Srirama Diwana’s other letter head organization “Janapara Vedike” are opposing it!

Citizens of Udupi need to ask themselves if they need an outsider like Rama Diwana opposing development projects? All Srirama Divana is interested in is collecting money in one cause or the other as part of anti-development mafia in Udupi district.

BLOG EXCLUSIVE:

Our sources indicate that fake journalist and “for rent” activist Srirama Diwana going house to house near Udupi – Manipal road and collecting 5,000 Rupees from every household by giving false promises about opposing the project.

According to newspaper reports, government has already issued gazette notification – this means even courts can’t stay the project now. Even aware of this fact, fake journalist Srirama Diwana has found an opportunity to raise money for himself and is going home to home and collecting 5,000 Rupees.

We here at this blog are not really surprised having followed Srirama Diwana’s activities which we have extensively reported in earlier posts. Taking people for a ride in the name of opposing some project and then collecting money from the same people seems to be a blackmail tactic that Srirama Divana has mastered.

Will authorities take note of this and act on fake journalists and rental activist Srirama Diwana’s cheating activities?

  1. Damodar Nayak Kalsanka Says:

People like Sriram Diwana are virus in the civilzed society. Udupi district police must take strict action against Sriram Diwana for opposing the state government development activity as well as harassing the public by collecting money for this misdeeds. It is the right time for people of udupi to teach good lesson to this badige activist Sriram Diwana. History must remember him as anti-society fake journalist.

  2. Yashaswi Suvarna Says:

All homes near Udupi – Manipal road are empty. These people are making noise only to get more money from government.
And opportunistic people like Rama Diwana appear in the scene whenever there is an opportunity to collect money.

  3. Sadanada Pai Says:

Let there be wide road to Manipal the knowledge hub from Udupi
This decision by Govt to widen the Udupi Road is wise plan towards the infrastructure of Udupi. Few families will be effected, but their cause is for the benefit of the country. Look at our military men who sacrifice their life for the country but these people everyday see many people die due to the inconvenience of narrow road structure, causing many deaths.

How would one suggest to make a road from Sharada to Kadiyali which indicates, the protesters do not want to commit to the Nation! but take others property for granted. We Kaonkanas always ready to give our life to the nation. Konkan Railway is now great success and known as marvel of the west coast. Thanks to former minister George Fernandes.

Once this road project is complete, it should be named as Koankan Broadway. We assume Udupi belongs to us. Go ahead you bold guys! Let there be wide Road, do not be deterred by the protests, these wide roads will diminish the narrow thoughts of our society. More of all many young life’s will be saved.

I fully agree with Sadanda Pai’s comments. I have seen this road for several years while going to Manipal every days during my college days. After two decades the situation is no better. Totally chavotic. Worst during rainy season. People should not protest against the development. It is a bottle neck between Udupi and Manipal, which must’ve stunted the growth of both cities to a great extent. Having said all… loosers of land should be fairly compensated by the concerned authority. A big wide road will be a breath of fresh air on the choaked road of several decades of hystory. People shold make way for growth of the city and larger interest of society which may desire sacrifice of few.
